Bacterial & Fungal CulturesWe do some staining and cultures in-house (such as the sample pictured to the right of this text), others we send to our reference lab. Our local reference lab is well-equipped to store and facilitate growth in the cultures that we send to them, as well as to analyze what grows in them to provide us with quick and accurate results to aid in our treatment of your pet's condition.
Having the specific results that a culture provides us with allows us to target your pet's treatment very specifically, because we will already know which drugs the pathogen is susceptible to, and to which drugs it will be resistant. |
