Bacterial & Fungal CulturesOur hospital performs select culture testing in-house, while more advanced cultures are sent to our trusted reference laboratory. The reference lab is specially equipped to properly store, grow, and analyze bacterial and fungal samples, allowing us to receive fast and accurate results to support your pet’s diagnosis and treatment.
Culture testing helps us identify the exact organism causing your pet’s infection and determine which medications it is susceptible or resistant to. This allows us to select the most effective treatment from the start, improving recovery, reducing unnecessary medications, and helping control costs. |
