Pet Boarding

Cat & Dog Boarding
in Pensacola, FL

Sometimes we need to go out of town for a few days, whether for business, a long vacation, or an unexpected obligation. Unfortunately, it's not always convenient or even possible to bring your furry friend with you. Many hotels do not allow pets, and an unfamiliar environment can hamper the safety of some animals. Leaving your pet at home with a sitter is always an option, but many pet sitters don't know what to do in an emergency situation, how often to clean your cat's litter box, or how to properly exercise your dog. Trusting a licensed cat or dog boarding facility like Gull Point in Pensacola, FL is the best choice for keeping your dog safe, happy, and healthy.

At our cat and dog boarding facility, your pet will stay in comfortable accommodations and receive plenty of attention and love. Instead of worrying and waiting for you at home, they'll be somewhere new and fun where they can make new friends and play all day!

What You Need to Know About Pet Boarding

If you've decided to board your cat or dog, you have a lot of things to consider and take care of before the time comes.
  • What does your pet need in order to have a safe and pleasant stay? Does your dog need special medications? Are they particularly afraid of thunder? Do they have any allergies? Be sure that our staff is made aware of any and all accommodations your pet needs. We will do our best to meet them if possible.
  • Are you giving enough advance notice? Some times of the year, especially holidays and summer vacation, fill up quickly. If you need to board your pet during one of these times, be sure you call as soon as possible to reserve your spot.
  • Is your pet up-to-date on his or her immunizations? For the safety of all of the pets that stay with us, most cat and dog boarding facilities require that your pet be completely current on shots and immunizations. Gull Point is no exception. Be prepared to provide documentation that attests that your pet has had its shots.
  • Have you given our facility all the information we need? We need to be prepared for anything. Be sure that we have a current phone number to reach you in case of emergency, as well as phone numbers for your pet's veterinarian (if we are not your pet's veterinary clinic) and pharmacy. If your pet needs medications, provide us with a copy of the prescription(s) in case you're unexpectedly delayed returning home and we need to obtain a refill.
  • Is your pet prepared for boarding? Some dogs might need some advance preparation in order to fully enjoy boarding. If you're concerned your dog might become overly anxious, it might be a good idea, if possible, to let him or her stay on several short overnight visits with us. That way, they will be used to the idea of dog boarding by the time you need to take a longer trip.
At Gull Point Animal Hospital, we offer our cat and dog boarding services in order to keep your pet happy and give you peace of mind while you're out of town. Relax, enjoy yourself, and know that your pet is in experienced and capable hands. We will care for your furry friend as if they were our own, and deliver them back to you safe and sound at the end of your trip. Give us a call today to learn more or to visit our facilities.
